The Family of Little Colombia wants to impact favorably on their clients, their families and their community. Therefore, we know that food is one of the great forms of happiness but also of physical and spiritual well-being.

With this note, we want to give you ideas and recommendations to make food, a moment of joy and also an opportunity to strengthen your body, you know that Hippocrates said: “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food».

Choose foods always in a balanced way … It is ideal to maintain a complete diet that contains all food groups such as fruits, vegetables, meats and low-fat dairy, legumes and whole grains.

Salt is a food that we should remove from our diet. They should be consumed below 5 gr. daily to prevent hypertension, reduce the risk of heart and cerebrovascular disease. That is why we must reduce the consumption of processed foods which contain a lot of salt.

It is important to increase the consumption of vegetables, vegetables and fruits as they provide: vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Ideally, eat at least five servings a day.

It is not recommended to skip meals, especially breakfast, as omission can lead to a feeling of uncontrolled hunger.

It’s not just what we eat, but how we eat. Therefore, it is beneficial to spend time to go to the market with peace of mind, choose foods with awareness. On the other hand, eating with the family, without distractions, is very healthy as well as being a moment of meeting and enjoyment.

If it comes to eating outside, choose spaces where the preparation of meals is responsible and made with love. That is why we are waiting for you, with family, friends, at La Pequeña Colombia Tampa Restaurant, LPCX Cafe Bakery or Chibchas Bar.
