Bread is one of the unmissable meals in Colombia, it is consumed daily by most of the population.
In Colombia, we have an immense variety of Colombian breads: there is a delicious «Pan Campesino» (peasant bread), prepared with enough butter that melts in your mouth, «Pan De Queso» (cheese bread) with special seasonings and baked spectacular, the «Almojábana» is a preparation with a typical sweet taste (its name comes from the Arabic al-muyabbana «la quesada» or «having cheese») made with cornmeal and campesino cheese plus butter, eggs and sugar ito culminate the incredible flavor known by all Colombians as one of the very best in the world.
Another very popular bread is the «Pandeyuca», is a biscuit made with ground white cheese and cassava starch, donut-shaped, oval or round that is characterized for being very solid and salty, making it a sticky bite but delicious.
At breakfast time, can not miss the «Pandebono», it is characteristic of the Cauca Valley and is made with cornmeal, fermented cassava starch, cheese and egg. Simply delicious!
Another unmissable bread is the «Buñuelo», a mass that is fried, with its round shape and golden tones that combines perfectly with the taste of a delicious Colombian coffee, chocolate or sugar water.
