Bakery typical Colombian is characterized for a delicious taste and craftsmanship, for any time of day.

Bread is one of the unmissable meals in Colombia, it is consumed daily by most of the population.

In Colombia, we have an immense variety of Colombian breads: there is a delicious «Pan Campesino» (peasant bread), prepared with enough butter that melts in your mouth, «Pan De Queso» (cheese bread) with special seasonings and baked spectacular, the «Almojábana» is a preparation with a typical sweet taste (its name comes from the Arabic al-muyabbana «la quesada» or «having cheese») made with cornmeal and campesino cheese plus butter, eggs and sugar ito culminate the incredible flavor known by all Colombians as one of the very best in the world.

Another very popular bread is the «Pandeyuca», is a biscuit made with ground white cheese and cassava starch, donut-shaped, oval or round that is characterized for being very solid and salty, making it a sticky bite but delicious.

At breakfast time, can not miss the «Pandebono», it is characteristic of the Cauca Valley and is made with cornmeal, fermented cassava starch, cheese and egg. Simply delicious!

Another unmissable bread is the «Buñuelo», a mass that is fried, with its round shape and golden tones that combines perfectly with the taste of a delicious Colombian coffee, chocolate or sugar water.

July 20 is an important date for Colombians, the cry of independence is celebrated.

The history tells that everything was for a flower vase, on July 20, 1810. A symbolic act around a vase loan, belonging to José González Llorente led the uprising of the people of Santa Fe, promoting the liberation campaign.

It was July 20 when they planned to lead a popular revolt in which people raise their discontent with the Spanish mandate.

This date is the beginning of the construction of a wonderful nation, would build a history full of struggles for freedom, showing the desire of wanting to be a better country, a cheerful, enterprising, prosperous and courageous country.

Sancocho:

The traditional Colombian sancocho is traditionally prepared with chicken creole or peasant. It is characteristic of Colombian Andean and traditional region of Valle del Cauca. Among its main ingredients is the plantain «viche» (Green plantain ), cassava, potatoes, cob, coriander and other seasonings. The flavor of this dish is simply unforgettable.

Ajiaco:

It is typical of the capital, it is a soup made of various solid ingredients chopped into pieces such as chicken, potatoes (in various types), sweet corn, usually accompanied by avocado, and is commonly served with cream milk and pickled capers. It is a creamy and delicious preparation.
